Release GDBUtil - Generic Database Utility version: v0.0.6.0 (GNU Lesser Public License v2.1)
Notes:
- JRE 1.6 or higher is needed
- New editors to modify the configuration files (based on EMF).
- One editor is created to modify the rdbms configuration.
- One editor is created to modify the tree definition files.
The menu entry "GDBUtil/Configuration" is not available if the plug-in "de.softomatix.gdbutil.editors.rdbms.editor"
is not present.
- The configuration can now be reloaded without restarting the GDBUtil application.
Because the database connection configuration could also change all open views and database connections
are automatically closed.
- Refactoring of the xsd schema on which the configuration files are based.
- Dedicated file for the database connection configuration: gdbutil.rdbms
The name of this file is hardcoded.
- The configuration files for the tree definition now end with ".gdbutil".
- Renaming of xsd schema entities for GDBUtil to make the configuration more understandable.
A simple ANT script helps to convert old configuration files to the new version.
- Simple chart facility based on BIRT chart engine
Now the chart can be saved as a PNG image.
- Little refactoring...
- Bugfixes
- Due to a shortened name of the content views one view name could occure more than once.
This resulted (at least) in the inability to open a view if another view with the same name was
already opened. Now all views contain the full name of the path of the tree node what makes them unique (and longer).
- The chart views now use the same database connection as all other commands under the same tree root (database connection).
The csv export view and the sql console views still use dedicated database connections. Each open sql console still has its own
database connection.
